In the days following the 20'12" meditation, I continue to reflect on the beauty and peace that continuous meditation brought to me, the school, and the city of Chicago (where I spent the time.) It seems that everyone who was a part of this 20'12" meditation, in all of the cities where we have SOM branches, was enriched by this devoted practice. I am very pleased to read the entries of so many people who reported that they experienced the best or deepest meditations they had ever had from participating in this group endeavor, united with people across the Midwest who were meditating continuously.

I am grateful to all of the people who concentrated on listening to the Creator, to meditating upon peace and bringing about superconscious awareness, for ourselves and for humanity.

I went to the event in Cincinnati since 6 o'clock. Because I'm just a new student with no prior experience in meditation I decided to only be part of the administrative side of the event. From 6 am to 9 am I helped installing all the tables that accomodate the books, pamphlets, food etc. I was also given the task of beeing a greeter. I had to give a brief introduction to the event and guide the people to the meditation space. After the meditation, I would ask people if they could write in the journal and participate in the dream reaserch project. For me the experience was very interesting and motivated me to continue with my studies.

Thank you for teaching me to meditate Leah so I could participate in the 20 hours and 12 minutes meditation for peace. I asked my question and listened earnestly and heard very clearly, "Pay Attention". And that is what I will do--pay attention to my customers who are all those around me who need something from me and give something of value to me in return. "Peace above me, peace below me, peace in front of me, peace behind me, peace within me."

NAMASTE and HAPPY, BLESSED NEW YEAR TO YOU from Fort Worth, Texas!! Thank YOU to EACH AND EVERY ONE of You for sharing your Peace, Love and Light, and for adding your own beautifully unique, peaceful vibration to this sacred Universal Hour of Peace and 2012 Meditation Event. WE truly are the Light of this world that illuminates all we create and experience <3 I loved reading about all of your wonderful experiences. We clearly came together and helped to raise the vibrations of the planet and the Universe in thoughts of Peace, Love and Harmony <3 Wow!!! What an absolutely AMAZING event we created and experienced here in Fort Worth, Texas! THANK YOU for giving so freely to help create a BEAUTIFUL day of Peace, Love and Light for this year's Universal Hour of Peace and 2012 Meditation event. Two very important goals were met thanks to us all joining our Creative Minds: One, we had someone meditating constantly for the entire 20 hours and 12 minutes!! And two, every student from the Fort Worth Branch brought their own beautiful Love and Light to the event!! Those two very important ingredients definitely qualify this first event as a School Branch as a Radiant Success!! Thank YOU! Thank YOU! Thank YOU to ALL Involved. The wave of Peace, Love and Light from all of the branches and One Voice singing from the College of Metaphysics in Windyville, MO was definitely felt by ALL!! I felt the wave of Peace encircling our Planet, radiating out into the Universe and beyond. We had over 60 people from the community come through the doors to Peace : ) That's a good start on making our goal of 150 : ) Please hold the image of stretching beyond our limits and exceeding that goal next year! I see BIG, BEAUTIFUL creations for The School of Metaphysics Fort Worth Branch, the magnificent entity of SOM as a whole, and the City of Fort Worth and beyond as we all create together as Divine Friends, helping to usher in Spiritual Intuitive Man : ) I bow my head in honor of YOU~ My Divine Friends all across the planet~ in Loving Gratitude for ALL that IS <3 It is a blessed honor to serve as The Peace Ambassador for The Fort Worth Branch, helping spread the word of our mission here at The School of Metaphysics, in Peace, Love and Harmony within my Self and beyond. Peace IS the Breath of our Spirit <3Peace BE with us all ways~May Peace Prevail on Earth <3 Infinite Love~ Light~and Possibility~ ALL WAYS~ ALWAYS <3Sheryl : )

Springfield, MO Event Coordinator Elizabeth Horton, 5 years meditation experience

Our 20'12 meditation began Friday, as many students came together in transforming our school building into a sacred holy ground. The energy of dedicated students creating and serving on all three floors of the building was awe-inspiring. Dr. Sheila came by for a while and served in Karma Yoga. She offered me wise instruction. She helped me to see the highly valuable gift that was present in the school on Friday and had me multiply it by ten. With this in mind, dutifully, I spent over an hour moving through each room late Friday night. With sage in hand, I prayed, over and over. I prayed for guidance. I prayed for energy to move. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to be present. I broke down in the front room. Was this the unbearable likeness of being? The presence of something far beyond the physical was all around me. I knew angels were with me. I did not know just how to respond to what I was experiencing. All I could do was ask for unending love and support. I prayed for those who would come the following day. I prayed for the capability to give them what they need. I prayed to always be of right spirit and right mind. I prayed for forgiveness, because I know I can always do better. I promised to keep giving. I rose at 4am, more at peace than I have been in months. It was strength and surrender coursing through me long before the sun would rise, as I set out the 20'12 Meditation sign in the front yard with a flood light beaming toward it. I lit the candles, put out the tea and fruit. And I waited. 5am came, and our first meditator arrived. It was so touching, I cried for several minutes as I watched her peacefully go within. Several more meditators came around 7am, and by 9am we had a full house. It was really happening.

To our surprise, in the middle of a group meditation on the third floor shortly after noon, a news crew fumbled up the stairs to record footage of the event. It was enjoyable to willfully remain relaxed and focused upon the creator, even in the name of cameramen and busy external commotion. A woman from the public said that she realized there is no such thing as "getting away" in the physical. No matter where we go, even a meditation event, distractions will find us. Security comes from within. She seemed to me to have really been inspired by her experience.

I have never meditated so much in one day. By the time I went to bed, it was as if the event continued on. Twinkling piano music and floods of group meditators went round and round in my dreams, perfectly reflecting what I was going through the entire day of meditating. An eternal thank you goes to my classmates for being present and continually serving. I also have a great deal of gratitude for our students as well as our teachers, making this a very whole experience. I have a lot to learn as a leader, and I couldn't have asked for a better more enlightening event to stretch myself and grow in leadership. Namaste.

The power and strength of our combined meditation (personally, in Indianapolis united with all SOM schools and Headquarters) was profound and sustaining. I’ve never given myself the permission or really considered meditating for the large part of a whole day before. Aligning myself with the flow of this consciousness, aided me to stay committed to holding my attention and intention on communing with God.

After each meditation, I journaled my experience much like one would write down a dream first upon awakening. My experiences varied with each individual meditation and they varied from meditation to meditation.

I had an experience that I would describe as maintaining a connection with myself in the presence of others. After one of the evening meditations, I walked into the front room of the Indianapolis school and talked with a few people from the community new to the school. I noticed something different within myself and within my perception of others. I observed myself expressing much more effortlessly and easily; I felt more natural. I felt like my inner Self was more fully expressing outward. I also noticed that everyone’s light appeared to be brighter; I saw moving beams of light. Perhaps this is a true experience of seeing more of God in everyone and everything. It’s very good!

What a beautiful way to reign in the New Year. I meditated for a total of 2 hours yesterday and every single student at the School of Metaphysics in Fort Worth was present for a piece of the 20'12 meditation. Our event was held at the Wellness Center, a space where yoga, meditation, acupuncture and massage are avid methods of health and wholeness. We created a small space for meditation which contained pillows and blankets, a shrine with holy works, statues and soft lighting. Beginning at 5:00 a.m., there was someone meditating at all times. Some had been meditating for years, and many had just learned how to meditate that day. Yoga instructors from all over the community led yoga classes and two musicians came and played peaceful, beautiful music. We had 2 potlucks with light snacks for lunch and dinner and discussed what peace meant to each of us all the while taking turns in meditation. People came to us from all over the metroplex. Individuals were receiving each other, communing and celebrating peace. I was honored with the opportunity to introduce people to meditation and to meditate with them, providing a still mind to help ground them in peace. Throughout the day, I became more grounded and noticed that our sacred meditation space was vibrating with Divine energy. I was honored to present a class on "Discovering Your Soulmate" and to stimulate people to embark on the journey within themselves. In the evening, children danced with their families in the main yoga room, celebrating with joy and music. We were able to introduce many new people to the School of Metaphysics, the Universal Peace Covenant and Intuitive Reports. What a wonderful celebration of peace! I am beginning the New Year with Gratitude, Stillness and Awe of the opportunities we are creating for the evolution of intuitive, spiritual man.

Linda Kleyman, 26, student, meditate daily

Third session: The most blissful of all. Focused on this prism of light above me. Wonderful heart energy. It was just so, so beautiful and loving. I could have stayed in this forever. Soft pink, turning to soft yellow. Powerful sensations in my head – Brow and Crown.

Fourth/Fifth sessions: More effort to hold the space with a lot of commotion occurring throughout the yoga studio. Still a lot of energy pouring through my head and rest of my body. I experienced more visualizations this time. Interesting how color/vibration/energy changes – this last time I experienced bright green.

Sixth/Seventh sessions: I imaged golden white threads of light throughout my being and surroundings. All was connected by these golden threads. They flowed through me, shimmering. I imaged white light aligning through my body, connecting me to infinite cosmic and earth energies. I imaged energy flowing, energizing, all of my charkas, and everything functioning in perfect harmony and synchronicity. They were all brilliant and bright. Sooo much energy. It was evident to me this time the connectedness of all of creation, and the importance of us conducting these meditations. I felt connected to all other places on the planet also elevating their consciousness. This collective energy keeps growing. This needs to be done more frequently, if not always. We are creating mind substance. We are healing and regenerating ourselves. Truth is that which uncovers the illusion that we are separate.

Eighth session: Started at 6:00. Went till after 7:30pm. Where to start. It was very difficult to get grounded initially. The party energy was definitely afoot, both here at our event as well as everywhere else. I realize now that I spent a great deal of time bringing in the energies and focusing them throughout the day. Later in the afternoon, however, we had a lot of novice meditators and short-term meditators coming in and out. They also brought in a lot of energy but it was not focused; it became scattered. This is an analogy for what is occurring throughout the world. Discipline, focus, is needed. I am happy to provide it. I definitely employed willpower. I imaged myself as a tree trunk, with the roots going deep into the earth, grounding the energies and thoughts, and the branches reaching up into the heavens, with the stars as leaves. This was solid, grounding. I’m telling you, it took quite a bit of effort. But I stayed with it. Then Sharon came in, and later Kimberlee. I knew all of us would bring back structure – confirm this Willow Yoga Studio as a beacon of light this day and night. I also knew it was key to set a standard for our energy and collective consciousness, otherwise the undisciplined, scattered party atmosphere would take over. I love being able to hold this space for when people enter into the studio. I can tell how quickly they adapt to the atmosphere and go into their meditations. But when I was settled into the energy, man, did I go. It’s like being swept up into a wind tunnel. That’s exactly how I would describe it. And by this time, I’d been sitting in my lotus position for quite some time… my body was aching. But I held on. I thought to myself, how does one become a master over the go? By realizing that their true nature is I AM, light, and this is permanent and lasting. The physical body and pains are all temporary and pass away. I held onto this. I thought of Dr. Daniel’s Still Mind, Present Moment, Open Heart; how time is an illusion and there is only the present moment. I felt myself in that moment – and felt the body pain, and sought to move beyond this. And I prayed and prayed for strength until I heard the chime. The moment that I heard the chime was the moment the thought passed through my consciousness that the true masters are ones that rule over the ego – and I wondered if the ego will even be needed at all in the future? Oh. It was also very striking that clear visions came to me, so full of detail that they could not be imagined. I could still the images and look at them in detail – they were scenes of houses in a neighborhood. I will have to wait and see what significance they hold for me.

Kimberlee Otto, 34, Teacher/HR Admin, Meditate Daily

3-5 session I have now meditated for a total of 5 hours so far today. After getting only a few hours sleep and getting up at 3am, now at 5pm I feel amazing! I am both calm and energized. I can feel a flush in my face and body telling my Kundalini is active and my mind is clear. During my last two hour long sessions I experienced total separation from my body. I was adrift, so to speak in the vastness of creation and life. The city becomes enlivened around me and I am one with it even though I am not physically outside seeing the people and attending the activities. It is beautiful and magical and scientific all at the same time. Rudy Arena, 47, sales, meditate daily As a student in the School of Metaphysics I am reading The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot. It explains that the physical universe as we understand it behaves only as matter when we look at it and as waves at all other times. The thought that this applies to still mind meditation and that we are only able to send and receive “waves” of wisdom from our creator when we release out attention from the thoughts in conscious mind came to me as I was struggling to remove my thoughts from my physical body.

Gratitude. I'm still speechless about my experiences during the 2012 meditation, the candle-lit walk, and all the preparations leading up to. But what I can share in this moment is that I am proud to have been leading such a profound New Years event where I was deeply connecting with myself and providing a sanctuary where others could do the same. I had never spent so much time in one period going within, however I was eager to experiment and did so gracefully. There were many who came in the latter part of the day who became aware of the same desire- to find their edge and move deeper beyond and within. We nurtured this sacred space, internally and externally. It was home. I felt unified with myself, Jesse and Jonathan, students and all meditators who came to commune with the Source. What an honor to sacredly serve in such a way that supports myself and others on our journey to Self realization. I'm also happy that I was able to integrate my son, partner, sister, best friends and many aspects of my life in this experience. I am extremely joyful and peaceful. I would love to share more.... Sending my light and love-Diantha
