AUGUST 2003 Update

The month of July saw the ceiling completed in the central main room on the first floor. The beams were carefully planed, taking off the stain and leaving the light color of natural wood. Between the beams were placed the ceiling tiles and finished with small wooden trim. Doors to each room were set and trimmed as well as ceiling lights and fixtures. Much of the ceiling work and trim work is labor intensive as we plane and sand wood, stroking it with our thoughts of peace and our vision of what the room will look like.

Paul Blosser has designed a hand rail to make the ramp wall safe and beautiful. He has talked to a very gifted metal worker in the area who has many years of experience and expertise in building railings and fashioning metal art. He has been out to the dome three times and is very stimulated about the building.

Paul Madar and Paul Blosser have continued to add to the healing wall, filling in the continents and landscaping the area at the foot of the wall. Plans are being made to complete the drainage and landscaping around the wall and the front of the dome.

It seems that many of the major projects are becoming resolved and move toward completion. Over 5,000 square feet of carpeting, furniture, yoga mats and tile are still required to finish our dream by October 11.
