The Windyville Address
delivered on the occasion of the dedication of the Peace Dome
One score and ten years ago, spiritual beings brought forth on this planet, a new structure, a new school, a new institute conceived in enlightenment and dedicated to the proposition that each individual is LIGHT and destined to become a Creator.
Now we are engaged in a great challenge, testing whether this structure or any School so conceived and so committed can endure forever. We are met on the Great Campus of the College of Metaphysics. We have come to dedicate a portion of that campus as a place of rest and peace for those who have committed their lives to the quickening of soul growth and spiritual development and the understanding of the whole Mind so that planet Earth and everyone on it might have greater life. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. Mother Earth has already done this together with the Sun, the Sky, and the eternal, Omnipresent Creator.
we have it here before us to add our LIGHT, our love, our connectedness, our joy and our goodness to what is already living and sacred.
The world may long remember what we have done here for we are enhancing the growth in consciousness of the planet. It is for us, the living, to be dedicated to the unfinished work which those enlightened beings that came before us have thus far so nobly advanced.
It is rather for us to be here committed to the great task, remaining before us that from these honored we accept devotion to that cause for which they gave their full measure of devotion-that we here highly resolve that these valuable and productive effort will bear fruits of enlightenment for the entire planet and all beings upon it, that this nation and this planet existing with the Creator shall have a new birth of freedom through responsibility, and that the enlightened connectedness of the people, by the people, for the people, shall expand throughout all aspects of each individual and be shared, given and taught and thereby the higher consciousness and greater peace will become a permanent and eternal possibility, probability, and surety for humanity and this great planet Earth.
