“Our organization is about people just like you, working together to provide simple, decent, and safe, affordable housing for all of God’s people a reality.  We are a non-profit, non-denominational organization run entirely by volunteers.  Our affiliate builds only in Dallas County, MO.  In addition to building homes for people in need, we take on special projects in our community such as building handicap ramps, repairing roofs and replacing windows.”

The Habitat for Humanity organization promotes responsibility and care among its participants.  In order to qualify, a family must be willing to work not only building their home, but also helping to build homes for others in support of the organization.  They also must show care and upkeep for their home.  This organization has provided many opportunities for people to obtain their own home for very reasonable costs.  Their work has done much to better the lives of the people and the community.
